Discovery Architectural Antiques is the largest operation of its kind in the Southern USA. We stock nearly everything imaginable that can be salvaged from old homes and buildings including antique stained glass, doors, windows, flooring, siding, beams, shiplap, posts, lighting, tin ceiling, tubs, sinks, and one of the best collections of Antique door hardware to be found anywhere. We have over 130,000 square feet of inventory under roof, the main showrooms alone take up five buildings in downtown Gonzales, Texas. We hope this web page will help give you some idea of what we have but please realize, since we have well over a million items in stock, it only shows a tiny sample of what we offer at any moment in time.

These are just a few of the custom doors we have made.

We have Walnut, Butternut, Oak, Mahogany, Long Leaf Pine and mystery wood doors.  Two aisles of the door store above and below. 

One example of the many unique doors stocked in one building of our showroom, known as  "The Door Store".  Most of the doors in the Door Store are Exterior doors.  Another 4,000 are in warehouse #1.  Above are just two of 22 aisles of interior and exterior doors in the big warehouse.

We stock doors with and without door jambs.  We also offer a repair, stripping, plugging, and jamb service.  From odd configured panels

 to the most common configurations, our supply is unmatched. 

Below are a few of the jamb jobs we have done with Mexican double door sets and and a Victorian door.

Below are Indian doors in Teak and other exotic woods.  Doors date back into early 1800's.

Exterior Doors, Interior Doors, Mexican Doors, Indian Doors, Barn Doors, and Primitive Doors

We have over 5,000 doors in stock.  They are made of Oak, Cypress, Walnut, Long Leaf Pine, Northern Pines, Teak, Mesquite, Butternut, and mystery woods.  We have painted doors, varnished doors, and stripped doors.  Sizes range from 4' to 10' tall and from 16" to 96" wide.  We keep pocket doors, warehouse doors, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 paneled doors, as well as doors with doors in the doors.  Stained glass, beveled plate glass, textured glass, doors with iron bars, or broken out glass doors are all available.  Sometimes we have arched top, Gothic top, Townhouse, and usually French doors in a variety of styles.  Not only do we just stock the doors, we generally have a good stock of doors in their frames, oftentimes including the transom windows above also in their frames.

Best of all we also fix, strip, and repair doors as well as build jambs, trim, install hardware, and stock nearly any hardware you could need for an old door.   

We also make custom doors in the primitive style with three layers of antique wood, square nails, and can ad the jambs to any doors that you buy from us.

 Tiny Texas Houses

The first of the Tiny Texas Houses coming off the line.  See Tiny Texas House page for more pictures.  These are made from 95% vintage materials, yet the electric, plumbing, and insulation is new.  The ultimate in Green building and a home that will last another hundred years without the modern home out gassing and environmental issues.  This is what you do for fun when you get tired of just stacking up vintage lumber and Architectural Antiques.  Finished model pictures will be done for next week.
