Discovery Architectural Antiques is the largest operation of its kind in the Southern USA. We stock nearly everything imaginable that can be salvaged from old homes and buildings including antique stained glass, doors, windows, flooring, siding, beams, shiplap, posts, lighting, tin ceiling, tubs, sinks, and one of the best collections of Antique door hardware to be found anywhere. We have over 130,000 square feet of inventory under roof, the main showrooms alone take up five buildings in downtown Gonzales, Texas. We hope this web page will help give you some idea of what we have but please realize, since we have well over a million items in stock, it only shows a tiny sample of what we offer at any moment in time.

We have over one million pieces of inventory including hardware, stained glass, doors, windows, and lumber in stock.  Unfortunately we can't get pictures of them all on this web page but we will include as many as we can and update them regularly.

Tiles, Giant Mesquite over mantles like the one above, nearly 24 inches wide and 9'+ long...as well as Antique Cypress, Silver Cypress, Long Leaf Pine, Northern Pine, Hemlock, Fir, Hand Hewn Oak, Poplar, and other beams.  We have 6 sets of gothic Arched doors in jambs

 We also have some stocks of other styles of tiles, though it is not one of our larger stock items. 

Gonzales Bricks in a nice butter color, beam skins on the wall to look like beams, Hemlock beams for the framework,

 

Here is a breakfast nook with pews.

Mesquite Mantle (6'x12"x7') beneath 4'x4' framed tin 3 1/2" deep.  Marble supports, fancy radiators, and a fabulous pedestal sink are also special items.

We also have an entire church of Gothic windows and doors.  It includes a double door set with glass above, a single door with glass above, 4-7' tall Gothic double hung windows, 2-10' wide Gothic windows that sit above two sets of triple wide double hung windows.   The package would allow you to build a classic church that would seat enough people to form a decent size congregation.  Price for the package is $6,500.

 Tiny Texas Houses

The first of the Tiny Texas Houses coming off the line.  See Tiny Texas House page for more pictures.  These are made from 95% vintage materials, yet the electric, plumbing, and insulation is new.  The ultimate in Green building and a home that will last another hundred years without the modern home out gassing and environmental issues.  This is what you do for fun when you get tired of just stacking up vintage lumber and Architectural Antiques.  Finished model pictures will be done for next week.
